Twelve players showed up for the final qualifying round of this year’s Grand Melee, meaning we played with 2 tables of six players.

Table 1’s game finished quite rapidly, as Mal’s repeated nuking of everybody’s lands meant only Jeremy was able to get up and running, as the only player out of range of Mal’s destructions. So Jeremy took the win and all the kills except Mal, who was dispatched by Eddie’s planeswalkers. His second win of the year moved Jeremy up to fourth in the rankings.

Table 2 had a longer game than table 1’s 30-minute affair, with Alex D emerging the winner.

Well done to everyone! The finals will be played at 2.00pm at our Xmas meeting on 15 December. There will be a separate article about the finals format and prize distribution later this month.
